About Torch

Torch is a Bessemer Venture Partners backed start up that is targeting the $30+ billion dental supply industry by digitizing dental practices' supply ordering and pooling demand and practice data to get them the best prices. Our technology simplifies existing workflows and introduces huge improvements in logistic efficiency, allowing our customers to focus on what they do best: providing quality patient care.

About You

We are looking for experienced, hands-on engineers who are comfortable owning major product features and helping to define the fundamental building blocks of our infrastructure as we scale. Engineers in this role will be able to have a foundational role in setting the technical direction for Torch, and as the team grows, opportunities for technical leadership and people management.

Our stack:

• Frontend: React, ES6, Babel, Webpack
• Backend: Python 3, Flask, Postgres
• Infrastructure: AWS, Ansible

We expect most successful candidates will have:

• 4+ years of experience in a professional engineering environment
• Experience building entire products or large scale features
• A good understanding of data modeling and database design
• Experience using analytics and user feedback to help drive engineering decisions

Extra credit if you’ve done one or more of the following:

• Administered Postgres or some other database in a production environment.
• Built analytics and reporting to support business functions outside enginering.
• Built across web and mobile platforms, especially Android
