Software Engineer in Test, Real Estate and Development Technology

You are:

A strong Software Test Engineer with a foundation in Computer Science fundamentals, a knowledge of building test plans, test automation and frameworks, and several years of experience shipping robust software products.

You have experience building, testing and shipping world-class software products. You have a natural inclination towards quality, and an aptitude for finding flaws and pushing software to its limits. You have experience writing test plans from scratch, and either using or building automation frameworks. You are comfortable with a variety of test tools and technologies, and testing paradigms. You understand that quality is an iterative process, and the importance of metrics like code coverage.

The team:

We are the Real Estate & Development organization, and our mission is to build technology to drive the supply side of WeWork: sourcing new properties, managing the under-writing process, and automating every step of the journey towards converting those locations into full-fledged WeWork offices, including Design, Construction, Project Management and Supply Chain.

Our products enable the Real Estate teams at WeWork to scale at hyper-growth, and will be built with an eye to eventually disrupt the multi-trillion dollar commercial real estate industry.

Responsibilities

• 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer in Test
• Proficient in a strongly-typed programming languages like Java, Kotlin, or C++
• Well-versed in software automation testing (black-box and white-box)
• Experience writing production-quality code
• Prior experience with code coverage and static analysis tools
• Capable of driving and participating in design-level architectural discussions
• Excellent at communicating with technical and business representatives

Good to have

• Masters degree in computer science
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, GraphQL
