TITLE: Solution Architect
LOCATION: New York, NY, option to work remotely in any location nationally
DUTIES: Responsible for writing statements of work (SOW) that include resource types and durations. Develop plans and manage client sponsor relationships including status report and change request. Assist the Solution Implementation Manager with planning and development. Work as a contributor with Collibra Sales, Customer Success, Product Management, and Professional Services Management to grow Collibra adoption with assigned customer base. Achieve utilization target helping Collibra grow its services and business. Lead workshops and requirements gathering activities as well as provide recommendations and best practices for organizational change management roles and training plans. Implement metadata, business glossary and governance and MDM solutions. Develop relational databases and java based web application. Create Collibra Data Governance Center (DGC) models including assets, relationships, domains and communities. Define workflow, security and integration requirements as well as define dashboard and reporting requirements. Define technical architecture including sizing development, QA, production environments and disaster recovery. Write functional specifications, technical specifications, test specifications and test scripts. Configure DGC based on client requirements and specifications. Document case studies, best practices, and lessons learned. Creation of templates that will accelerate future implementations. Lead workshops and requirements gathering activities as well as provide recommendations and best practices for organizational change management, roles and training plans. Participate in Collibra community forums and blogs, present at industry events and tradeshows and assist with mentoring Collibra service partners. EOE
REQTS: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related field plus five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in the job offered, or as a Software Developer, Computer Engineer, or a related position. Must have five (5) years of progressively responsible experience with: Designing, configuring, and enhancing Java/Java EE based applications; Designing and developing API, including REST and SOAP API, and web services using integration framework, including Spring, Spring Boot, and Java using integration platform, MuleSoft, to connect to multiple sources and then retrieve, enrich, and update data; Updating progress and status of Stories, Epic Story, and Issues in JIRA; Configuring Object Relational Mapping (ORM), including Hibernate; Configuring Scheduler and Message Broker as input trigger of the applications; Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) including requirements analysis, design, development, implementation, delivery, and maintenance; Writing technical design specifications and designing diagram including UML, Flow Chart, and process diagram; Building packages and artifacts from code repositories, including GIT, SVN, and CVS using CD tools; Configuring JDBC driver to connect to different databases; Performing performance tuning and optimization of the application and APIs; Creating a network and infrastructure diagram to show application connectivity including firewall and proxy; and Performing installation of pre-requisites and packages to Linux and Unix. In the alternative, the employer will accept a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in a stated field of study plus three (3) years of experience in the position offered or a related position. Any suitable combination of education, training, or experience is acceptable. 75% travel required to various and unanticipated client sites nationally and internationally.
