Role overview

Our cyber security team is here to protect the security of millions of customers globally. We strive to adopt innovative solutions to problems and apply concepts of attack driven defense to improve our security posture. We design solutions that mitigate risk rather than check boxes.

 We are seeking a passionate security operations leader to build automated systems to harden our infrastructure and implement methods to detect and respond to intrusions as they happen. This individual will partner with our business and technology teams to ensure we make risk informed strategic decisions.

You will develop technical solutions to prevent compromise, our capabilities to detect threats, and response mechanisms to handle incidents when they happen.

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Evolve our offensive security capabilities beyond automated assessments to include attack simulations and real-world scenario testing
  • Continuously improve our detection and monitoring program driven by offensive research and engagements (i.e.., building the purple team mindset)
  • Drive incident response capabilities throughout across our organization (e.g., legal, communications, HR, technology operations, customer service)
  • Improving our detection program to drive higher signal to noise indicators (e.g., deception based approaches, tuning our toolsets, leveraging higher fidelity threat intel)
  • Design and implement solutions to detect and prevent compromise; from initial compromise through persistence, lateral movement, and exfiltration
  • Use attack driven techniques to improve our applications and systems defenses, and discover new vulnerabilities across our production, corporate, and cloud infrastructure
  • Design and implement security infrastructure that enables the team at any stage of the cyber attack lifecycle
  • Automate and streamline existing security processes and procedures

Experience required

 

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with building and leading any combination of the following: building detection programs, incident response, system/network security
  • Experience implementing and automating security in cloud environments (e.g., AWS, GCE, Azure)
  • Experience with logging integrations and products (e.g., Splunk)
  • Understanding in incident response methodologies, planning, testing, and execution
  • Understand the people aspects of security and enjoy collaborating with others to build secure things
  • Contributions to the security community (e.g., research, CVEs, bug bounties, open source projects)
