Sr. Software Engineer - Astral

What you’ll do
- Guide system design, including architecture, cloud implementation, and database administration
- Organize priorities and strategy with internal and external stakeholders
- Execute and oversee timely and reliable execution of technical projects in an agile environment
- Contribute to architectural and functional specifications
- Administer consistent coding and process standards
- Ensure efficient and comprehensive satisfaction of information security and compliance audits
- Build scalable core framework and components
- Develop and maintain app components
- Build and design solutions that mitigate risk and increase efficiencies
- Design and implement APIs
Your background
- 5+ years’ experience architecting large scale, distributed, high performance systems
- 2+ years' demonstrated use of Python (NumPy, Pandas, Flask RESTful Web Services)
- Strong understanding of financial products and equities
- Object-oriented programming expertise
- PKI encryption and strong cybersecurity understanding
- Commercial application using Spark or similar big data frameworks
- Experience designing data environments in AWS, GCP, Azure, or other public cloud offerings
- Nice-to-haves:
- Masters or higher in computer science
- Genuine interest in data science or applied quantitative research
- Security clearance or 3+ years of handling sensitive data
