About You

We are looking for strong, passionate UX Software Engineers to join our core Product Engineering team in NYC. We use our powers for good here! Your work will have a direct impact on making quality education affordable for students. 

We invite you to a world of rapid prototyping, where you can be part of the conversation of new ideas and their implementation. You will be implementing those ideas using the latest UI technologies to bring to reality pixel perfect, UX designs by our internal Product Management team. 

Responsibilities

• Design and implement intuitive, multi-device experiences for end users
• Design and implement scalable operations UI for internal teams
• Work closely with other engineers and Product Managers to rapidly prototype new ideas that can immediately be tested in the market with real-world users
• Maintain and introduce new features into existing products
• Participate in planning and feedback on new product features, provide insight and experience to guide best practices for user experience design and implementation
• Ensure long-term stability of systems with documentation and testing
• Participate and help facilitate peer code reviews and an efficient development process

Requirements 

• Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science or a technical discipline
• At Least 3 years of experience with building User Experiences
• Significant Experience with
  • JavaScript & React Framework
  • Web Technologies: HTML, HTTP, CSS
  • Working with REST APIs
  • Familiar with best online security practices
