Job Description The Software Engineer role is expected to design, develop and build applications that provide financial valuation, pricing, and portfolio management capabilities for fixed income mortgage products. This individual will be part of the Global Securitized Products Group (SPG) technology group, a highly specialized team working in a fast paced, business facing environment, providing high impact software solutions catered to the fixed income and mortgage domains. The team is dedicated to the delivery of functionality that drives revenue for the bank and increases business automation and efficiency while maintaining focus on strategic technology deliverables for business users.
Role responsibilities:

• Work with a global team of developers to enhance financial applications in an Agile fashion
• Work closely with fixed income mortgage product business users to define, design, and drive implementation of software solutions
• Application support, including L3 support, troubleshooting, and actively improving the application
• Effectively communicate and coordinate directly with business and technology partners
• Contribute to the Cyber security, Sustained Resiliency, and SDLC company efforts.

Required:

• 5+ years Java applications development experience (Core Java / Spring / REST)
• 5+ years utilizing developer frameworks such as Maven, JUnit
• 5+ years utilizing deployment platforms such as Jenkins, Jules
• 5+ years creating technical solutions for financial products
• Experience with PL-SQL & Oracle database
• Experience with Messaging Platforms, i.e. IBM MQ Server, TIBCO, Apache Kafka
• Knowledge of Python
• Knowledge of Unix shell scripting
• Ability to effectively partner with all stakeholders (both technical and non-technical)
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or Equivalent.
• Knowledge of Mortgage Backed Securities (MBS) and Pricing preferred
• Knowledge of Market Data (US treasuries, Swaps, Indices, etc.) preferred
• Secondary and Trading Functions preferred
• Fixed Income products knowledge preferre
