The Team

Designing and building the Ceros platform is no easy task. We require the best-of-the-best Software Engineers, Designers, and Quality Engineers, ready to bring the functionality of desktop software to the web, often pushing web browsers to the limits of what’s currently possible.

As part of the Ceros product team, you’ll be working with a small, cross-functional group of the most talented people you’ve ever worked with. We hire only passionate and creative people with a proven and unquestionable ability to execute, and every member of the team is equally responsible for moving the product forward. We find a way.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Architect the next iteration of test automation at Ceros.
  • Teach automation across all layers of the automation pyramid: unit, API, and UI (e2e) tests.
  • Help forecast future personnel and budgetary needs.
  • Facilitate automation craftsmanship across the engineering organization.
  • Create mentorship programs within the company.
  • Continually scan the horizon for technologies that will make the department more efficient.
  • Orchestrate the construction of scalable, reliable, and efficient test automation solutions.
  • Hold craftsmanship as a core team value.
  • Reinforce behaviors that positively impact the quality of Ceros products.
  • Hold yourself, the team, and leadership accountable to agreed-upon quality standards.
  • Solve today's problems, but design for tomorrow's challenges.
  • Provide feedback constructively and with empathy and actively seek feedback.
  • Be in constant pursuit of self improvement and help to improve your teammates.

  • Remain highly responsive to Slack but also set expectations when you’ve stepped away or need to be away from your keyboard for periods of time.
  • Seek to complete work in a timely fashion with a high degree of quality.

Practical stuff we anticipate you having

  • 5+ years experience manually testing with an agile software team
  • 5+ years experience writing automated tests
  • Expert in at least one programming language (bonus if it’s Javascript)
  • Deep understanding of automation best practices
  • Experience building multiple automation frameworks from scratch
  • Comfortable with the linux command line 
  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and tooling
  • Understanding of the different types of software testing
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Bonus if you have experience load testing web applications
  • Bonus if you have experience testing web application security
  • Bonus if you have experience testing a visual design application of some kind

  • You are driven by collectively doing the right thing for the product over competing individually to have your own ideas succeed. 

Key things to know

  • This is a 100% remote role but we are primarily in the U.S. Eastern time zone and prefer candidates who can have an overlapping work schedule with the rest of the team.

Location

Ceros employees live and work all over the world, but our HQ is in New York and we’ve got offices in London and Prague.
