Affirm’s risk decisioning business logic - e.g. should we allow a user to sign up? Can we underwrite them? Are they a fraudster? - is increasingly complex and difficult to test given the amount of real world data it relies on and number of products it serves. The Test Platform team’s mission is to make end to end consumer risk testing seamless and give teams confidence to launch new features and verticals without regressions.
In leading this team you’ll accelerate and empower Engineering and Product at Affirm and have an impact on our customers by preventing outages and defects. Our team is growing and looking for a Technical Lead to help build a full stack test platform to enable teams to move faster. Come join us!
What You'll Do
- Develop the architecture and technical milestones of the platform
- Balance authoring high quality code with project management and mentorship
- Work with a team of 4+ engineers to ship incrementally
- Hold a high technical bar with a bias towards longevity and simplicity via specification, architecture, and code review
- Onboard, coach, and provide thoughtful feedback to team members

- Experience: 2+ years leading multiple engineers over several quarters
- Technical: solid engineering fundamentals; full stack and test automation experience
- Collaborative: track record of successful cross functional collaboration especially with product managers, and engineering counterparts

Compensation & BenefitsWe offer a competitive package, with some highlights listed below. However, the given figures are not guaranteed compensation ranges; rather, they are unbinding, approximate indications of what the salary may be for your awareness. The actual salary may be less than the lower range or greater than the upper range, depending on skills and experience. No employee is guaranteed salary at the amount of the lower range.
- Targeted Gross Monthly Salary: 23,917 - 28,700 PLN
- New hires who commence employment with Affirm before June 30, 2022, and are employed for one year, are eligible to receive 100,000 PLN as a sign-on bonus.

The majority of our roles are remote and can be located anywhere in the U.S. and Canada (with the exception of the U.S. Territories, Quebec, Yukon, Nunavut, and the Northwest Territories) unless the job indicates a different global location.
