What You Will Do:

  • Design, influence, and provide guidance to executive leadership for future initiative & infra decisions
  • Research and identify solutions that enhance and progress technology for the organization
  • Provide direction with budgetary decisions for peer team members, as well as senior IT leadership
  • Accelerate time to resolution where escalation has been initiated for support incidents and problems
  • Lead role in preparing analysis, and after-action review for post mortem incidents, or deployment of infrastructure systems
  • Design preventative maintenance strategies for infrastructure systems
  • Anticipate and mitigate potential attacks to infrastructure systems, to support system security
  • Mentor and advise junior IT team members with product, enterprise systems installations, and upgrades
  • Create policy for system security, standardization, and controls throughout the organization
  • Responsible for day-to-day operations and maintenance (O&M) support of Windows and Linux servers, crisis management, change management, and hands-on technical support.
  • Advanced skillset in MS Windows – Windows Server 2008, 2012, 2016, and RedHat or CentOS Linux 7.x
  • Responsible for day-to-day operations and maintenance (O&M) support of servers, crisis management and hands-on technical support 
  • O&M support of VMware ESXI nodes; O&M support and management of VMware v-Sphere Update Manager in vCenter and other related VMware applications 
  • Advanced experience with administration of SAN systems from 3PAR and EMC
  • O&M support of database systems - MySQL and MS-SQL
  • O&M support of Windows, Linux and Virtual Machines  
  • O&M support of Apache app servers 
  • Installation, configuration, and O&M support of monitoring solutions across platforms like Nagios
  • O&M application of security updates and monthly patch management across all systems
  • Vulnerability remediation of infrastructure elements
  • Perform incident and change management on all devices and operating systems 
  • Perform maintenance as required 
  • 10+ years’ experience in an IT environment 
  • Participate in on call schedule and patch rotations 
  • Mentor other Mid-Level Windows Administrators 

 What You Will Need:

  • A college degree or equivalent work experience
  • Extensive experience and knowledge in solving problems that are complex in scope, requiring in-depth evaluation as well as the ability to identify problems in advance and propose solutions
  • Require limited supervision and direction; drive results, and set priorities appropriately & independently
  • Comprehensive knowledge of concepts, principals, and practices of engineering to successfully manage the technical implementation of complex engineering projects
  • Excellent communication, presentation, writing and editorial abilities
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Demonstrated leadership experience
  • Ability to work on a 24x7 on-call, weekday and weekend schedule
  • Advanced experience with administration of hyperconverged systems.
  • Technical understanding of Cisco networks and integrations with systems
  • SSO implementation, configuration and troubleshooting
  • Able to travel up to 4 weeks out of the year
