ABOUT THE ROLE:

The Vice President of Engineering will be the leader of the Reonomy engineering team. This hire will drive the technical execution of our product roadmap and manage a team of 7 software engineers. This position reports directly to the CEO. The VP of Engineering will be flexible and organizationally versatile, working directly with the management team in co-creating product strategy while working side-by-side with engineers toward technical execution of our workflows. You will also orchestrate the processes and systems necessary to empower the developers and engineers to deliver quality projects on time.

Responsibilities include:

• Using your deep expertise in Software / Data Engineering practices to create and implement strong practices across multiple teams
• Collaborating with the leadership team and others to make strong architectural decisions and execute across our technology platform
• Leveraging agile practices to help the Engineering team improve, remove technical debt, and deliver value to our customers both internal and external
• Working with Product to deliver features and new products to match our company vision
• Finding ways to foster collaboration, productivity and an Engineering culture with a very high bar of quality
• Being a strong role model with regards to work ethic, constant improvement, and culture

ABOUT YOU:

• 10+ years of relevant, progressive work experience
• Demonstrated experience managing engineering teams
• Extensive experience managing cross-functional workflows and managing technical output and performance
• Knowledgeable and comfortable with a wide variety of technologies
• Ability to uplift and empower the best engineers
• Strong passion and drive for excellence and success
• Bachelor’s degree is required; Computer Science or Engineering undergrad majors preferred. Masters and/or PhD is a plus
