At Alchemy, our Financial Apps team is laser focused on our mission: building the world’s open economy. We’re solving the hard problems to enable our customers to bring trillions of dollars of financial activity onchain. We believe that financial use cases will drive the majority of crypto growth over the next two years, and Financial Apps is our big bet to accelerate this growth.
As an Tech Lead Manager on the newly formed Financial Apps team, you’ll be a key part of the evolution of the team. You’ll spend the first months building a deep technical foundation on our Smart Wallet product that spans the entire stack: from crafting intuitive user interfaces and well-designed SDKs that developers love, to the backend services that support them. You’ll then build on top of that foundation, working with Financial Apps leadership to help structure the team for maximum efficiency.

What You'll Do:- Help drive technical and product strategies for Financial Apps, collaborating with cross-functional teams (Product, Design, GTM) to deliver exceptional products.
- Stay updated on the bleeding edge of technological advancements, particularly in wallet technology and user experience best practices in Web3, to drive technical strategies that keep Alchemy at the edge of competition; effectively communicate concepts and progress.
- Enhance execution, mentor the engineering team, and refine processes as the team scales. Provide technical mentorship to ensure high-quality standards in development.
- Influence Alchemy's overall engineering culture through leadership, mentorship, and programs promoting continuous learning and development.
- Foster team growth by actively recruiting and hiring top-tier engineers with a passion for user experience and blockchain.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 7+ years of experience in full-stack software development, with a strong emphasis on building user-facing applications and developer tools.
- 1+ years in engineering management; proven success in building and leading high-performing full-stack or product engineering teams, ideally in a fast-paced startup environment.
- Strong technical and product skills - this role will require both solid engineering principles and deep customer empathy.
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment - understanding how to make the tradeoff between quality and speed, based on the product, business, and technical context.
- Experience with blockchain technologies is a very strong plus.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and engage with the developer community.
- Passion for and curiosity around creating innovative solutions that simplify Web3 interactions and cater to the needs of the next billion users in the blockchain ecosystem.
- Self-starter attitude and the ability to execute new ideas with autonomy.
- Know how to find the right balance between perfection and shipping quickly.

Alchemy is committed to offering competitive compensation, including base salary as well as equity. Additionally, Alchemy offers comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage, as well as other benefits such as 401k and unlimited flexible time off.
The base salary range for this position is estimated to be between $220,000 - $265,000 annually. Please note this range reflects base salary only, and does not include bonus, equity, or benefits. Your salary will be determined by various factors, including relevant experience, skill set, qualifications, and other business needs.
