Role Expectations

  • Manage engineers on 1-2 software engineering teams owning our consumer product experiences
  • Leverage your understanding of your teams’ domains, stakeholders and business needs to help lead prioritization and scoping efforts
  • Facilitate technical decision-making across mobile, web, and backend technologies
  • Work closely with cross-functional partners across product, engineering, operations, and data teams
  • Provide proactive coaching and mentorship to the engineers on your team

Technical Requirements

  • 5+ years software development experience building modern software applications
  • 4+ years of experience in engineering management or a similar position

Non-Technical requirements

  • Highly empathetic and collaborative 
  • Demonstrated track record of coaching and mentorship
  • Love to work in cross-functional teams
  • You are pragmatic and prefer simple solutions. You build for the problem.
  • Product-oriented - You care about the value we deliver rather than just the tech we build
  • You like to work in agile(ish) environments
  • You strive towards continuous delivery
  • Are excited to work very closely with the Product team

Compensation and Benefits

Base compensation range for this role is $175,000 - 225,000 per year, based on experience level. Posted salary ranges are reflective of NYC and SF market compensation structures.
