We are in relentless pursuit of an equitable and inspiring workplace that is respectful of all, reflects and represents the world in which we live, and fosters trust, collaboration and belonging. Consistent with this approach, we hire the best qualified candidates for all positions.

Edelman is seeking a dynamic and collaborative events professional to join our U.S. Marketing team. This role supports the development and execution of a high-impact portfolio of strategic events designed to engage clients and prospects, elevate Edelman’s thought leadership, and drive business growth.

Reporting to the Vice President, Events, this role plays a key part in delivering both external B2B marketing experiences and internal engagement events. It requires a highly organized, detail-oriented operator who can manage multiple workstreams while contributing to the evolution of Edelman’s event strategy.

The ideal candidate brings strong executional rigor, creative thinking, and an understanding of how events function as a strategic growth lever. A content-first mindset is essential – approaching events not only as experiences, but as platforms for creating and amplifying thought leadership before, during, and after each engagement.

This role owns day-to-day event execution and logistics, while partnering closely with senior stakeholders to align on direction, programming, and priorities. Success in the role also requires the ability to build strong relationships, navigate a complex organization, and deliver with confidence and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

Event Strategy & Planning

  • Partner with the VP, Events to support the development and execution of Edelman’s U.S. events strategy aligned to business priorities

  • Contribute to the planning and management of an annual calendar of external and internal events

  • Support the evolution of event formats, audience strategies, and experience design to ensure continued innovation and impact

  • Collaborate with peer regional events managers within the Global Marketing function to establish and socialize global best practices, and ensure brand consistency

Production & Execution

  • Support execution of both external client-facing events and internal programs including townhalls and leadership engagements

  • Manage logistics across in-person, virtual, and hybrid formats, including venue sourcing, technical production, run-of-show development, and on-site execution

  • Manage key components of event delivery including timelines, budgets, vendors, guest experience, stakeholder coordination, speaker management, and recaps

  • Partner with internal production teams and external vendors to deliver high-quality, scalable event experiences

  • Support on-site execution, including venue operations, vendor coordination, and run-of-show management to ensure seamless delivery

  • Serve as an on-site host and representative of Edelman, confidently engaging with clients, executives, and guests to ensure a seamless and high-touch experience

Content & Experience Development

  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop compelling event narratives, agendas, and supporting materials

  • Support the identification, preparation, and coordination of speakers to ensure content is aligned, engaging, and effectively delivered

  • Partner with design teams to produce event branding and collateral

  • Contribute ideas to enhance attendee experience, engagement, and differentiation

Stakeholder Management

  • Build strong relationships with senior internal stakeholders and cross-functional partners

  • Manage approvals, feedback cycles and revisions across multiple stakeholders

  • Act as a reliable point of contact for event-related coordination and communication

  • Navigate complex stakeholder environments with professionalism and discretion

Measurement & Optimization

  • Support post-event reporting, including performance metrics, attendee feedback, and business impact

  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, tools, and overall event effectiveness

  • Maintain and evolve best practices across Edelman’s event portfolio

Basic Qualifications

  • 2 to 4 years of experience in event planning, experiential marketing, or related field (agency or corporate environment preferred)

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proven experience supporting or managing B2B marketing events and/or executive-level experiences

  • Willingness to travel as needed; this role requires approximately 40% travel depending on event calendar and business needs

  • Strong editorial judgment, with the ability to shape and refine content that supports event narratives and related communications

  • Strong project management skills with exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously

  • Experience working with senior stakeholders and navigating complex organizations

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Familiarity with event technology platforms (e.g., Zoom, Teams, CRM systems such as HubSpot)

  • Experience with budget tracking and vendor management

  • Creative problem-solver with a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment

What Sets You Apart

  • A strong instinct for what makes an event meaningful, not just well-executed

  • Interest in how events drive business outcomes, not just attendance

  • Ability to balance precision and logistics with creativity and experience design

  • A collaborative, positive approach and calm presence under pressure
