SmartAsset is looking for an Accounting Analyst to join our Finance team. An ideal candidate is self-motivated, independent, has a sharp attention to detail and expert-level accounting skills, and has a background in accounting or finance. Job Duties

- Support month end close process by making journal entries, maintaining account reconciliations, ad hoc reporting

- Maintain depreciation, fixed asset schedules

- Manage Accounts Payable by entering invoices, managing vendor relationships

- Manage Accounts Receivable by ensuring accurate recording of payments received in accounting system

- Assist with annual internal audit by gathering support and related schedules

- Maintain accounting controls per GAAP and current audit policies

- Partner with internal teams to support AP and AR needs

- Support Controller and VP Finance

Qualifications

- Experience with Quickbooks, Bill.com a plus

- Strong communication skills and a proactive attitude

- 1-3 years related accounting experience

- Experience with Excel and/or Google Sheets, including pivot tables, vlookups and data reconciliations

- Proactive attitude and interest in building efficiency and scaling operations

- Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or finance
