About the Role

Common is looking for a hard-working, motivated individual to join our growing finance team. The Accounting Coordinator will be responsible for supporting day-to-day Finance operations. The ideal candidate is detail oriented, organized and accountable for the data integrity of Common's financial reporting. This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of a fast-paced, high energy company.

Responsibilities

  • Support the day-to-day operations of the finance department
  • Maintain ownership over accounts payable, including invoice entry, coding, and approval process
  • Ensure timely payment of invoices to maintain long-term, strategic vendor relationships
  • Oversee Corporate Credit Card program and employee expense reimbursement process 
  • Support the administrative on-boarding of new Real Estate partners
  • Assist with reconciliation and return of tenant security deposit 
  • Other ad-hoc projects and reporting, as needed

Requirements

  • 1+ years of administrative or bookkeeping experience, preferably in Real Estate
  • Undergraduate Accounting or Business degree preferred
  • General knowledge and understanding of accounts payable​ required

Skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Excellent organizational skills with high attention to detail
  • Self-starter who is comfortable initiating processes and challenging the status-quo
