About the Company

CAMP is a Family Experience Company that helps answer the question “What should we do today?” through a unique combination of Retail & Media. Launched in December of 2018, CAMP operates six retail locations in New York, Texas and Connecticut and serves families everywhere via its digital platforms.

CAMP will open stores in NJ, Los Angeles, MA, and other major markets in the coming months. 

What is the Role?

To support CAMP’s strong growth trajectory we’re looking for an experienced customer acquisition professional to drive revenue growth through media strategy, planning and activation. The Director of Growth Marketing will report directly to the Chief Marketing Officer and will be charged with developing a high performing acquisition engine by identifying and scaling cost-effective customer acquisition campaigns across a range of digital and offline channels. You will develop the strategic plan, use analytics to inform decisions and drive execution to optimize a significant marketing budget against company goals.  You will also have the opportunity to help build a team to support audience development, customer lifecycle and marketing analytics functions.

What will you do at CAMP?

  • Owning overall paid media strategy, agency management, partner negotiations and management of annual budget
  • Analyzing campaign data to make recommendations to improve existing campaigns, forecast and develop new strategies that will inform future decisions
  • Working closely with the Creative team on Paid Social, Display, and other marketing content, providing feedback and direction to make the most effective creative based on persona, messaging intent, and KPIs
  • Owning the strategy and execution of a consumer testing plan across paid media that helps us better understand our consumer, including analyzing the data and preparing actionable insights
  • Tracking, analyzing and reporting on key KPIs and insights to partners, cross-functional team members and executive teams
  • Collaborating with teams spanning Content, Design, Brand, Product, Finance and Technology
  • Managing a substantial marketing budget and optimize the mix accordingly to achieve company targets
  • Representing Marketing in the development of the company’s data strategy and architecture
  • Identifying new opportunities and emerging channels to help grow our business and brand

What will you bring to CAMP?

  • 7-10 years of professional experience with real and consistent results in a performance marketing or highly commercial role. Start-up experience is a bonus but not a requirement
  • Proven background in ecommerce and/or subscription business models who has experience building and presenting marketing business cases
  • Substantial experience working with performance marketing metrics (CPM, CPI, CPA, CPC & LTV)
  • Tactical experience working with specific digital and offline channels preferred (Display, Social, Search, Mobile and Affiliate, Inserts, Direct Mail)
  • Experience working across marketing, product and engineering teams
  • A strategic mind and can derive insights, recommendations and action plans from qualitative market trends, consumer feedback and large data sets
  • A natural leader who is comfortable working in an agile, fast-paced environment  
  • Outstanding organizational skills, project management skills, and ability to multitask
  • New York or Los Angeles preferred location
  • You are authorized to work lawfully in the United States.
