About the Role

Common is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our growing Finance team. This position will be responsible for all invoices and payables for both Common and our Managed Properties. The ideal candidate has strong communication skills, is detail-oriented and organized. This role will report to the Accounting Manager. 

Responsibilities 

  • Collect and store relevant tax and insurance documentation for new vendors
  • Set up vendor records in NetSuite
  • Process paper and electronic invoices through Bill.com and Netsuite
  • Code invoices and assign for approval
  • Initiate ACH and wires, record and apply payments 
  • Prepare monthly AP Aging report and reconciliation
  • Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues
  • Monitor the Accounts Payable email box and respond promptly to both internal and vendor inquiries
  • & other ad hoc projects from time to time

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of accounts payable experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Effective organizational, stress and time management skills
  • Possess a strong sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines 
  • Work well under pressure in a fast-paced, ever-changing work environment
  • Emotional Intelligence
  • Scrappy and resourceful problem solver
  • A team player with a “can-do” attitude
