Accounts Receivable Specialist

Our growing accounting department is searching for an Accounts Receivable Specialist. Reporting to the Controller, the successful candidate will be passionate about owning the processes for tracking invoices and resolving accounts for our clients. As a public company, strong attention to detail and an understanding of the importance of consistent and solid performance are critical.
Responsibilities:
- Process and issue invoices to clients
- Process incoming mail concerning billing and invoicing
- Post daily deposits
- Communicate with clients about billing discrepancies and questions
- Provide ongoing assistance and monitoring of the credit worthiness of clients
- Initiate collections on past‐due accounts
- Maintain accounting subledger, as required
- Prepare documentation for external auditors, as required
- Special projects as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field
- 3+ years’ experience in an accounts receivable role
- Experience with customer service and client communication
- Proficient in Word and Excel
- Experience with QuickBooks or Oracle, highly preferable
