This involves assisting with the coordination between Artivest and alternative investment asset managers, as well as enterprise clients. You will work closely with the Platform Manager to lead asset managers and their third parties (e.g., Fund Administrators) from initial onboarding discussions through launch implementation. This is accomplished through an effective cross-functional partnership with colleagues within Artivest.

Artivest provides a technology-driven alternative investment platform for fund managers, wealth managers, independent advisors, and qualified individual investors. Our technological, financial, and operational expertise powers a seamless experience for investors and a scalable point of access for our enterprise clients. The asset management division of Artivest, formerly known as Altegris, is an investment research provider with deep expertise in alternative manager selection, structuring unique investment solutions, and providing product management and oversight. Our broker-dealer affiliate distributes our products to wirehouses, independent broker-dealers, registered investment advisors, and directly to high-net-worth individuals and family offices.

Responsibilities

  • Develop in-depth understanding of Artivest platform and help identify improvements and upgrades on behalf of clients and the firm
  • Develop in-depth understanding of differing alternative investment fund strategies and structures (e.g., private equity, hedge funds, exchange funds, and registered non-traded funds) and how they relate to and impact transaction and operational processes required to onboard and support each fund within Artivest
  • Support end-to-end success of multiple concurrent fund implementation projects
  • Maintain and update onboarding playbooks for implementing new investment products on Open Network and enterprise sites
  • Maintain and update project plans
  • Assist with recurring fund implementation production meetings to ensure projects stay on track
  • Support processes to effectively and proactively communicate implementation status to stakeholders and executive-level management
  • Update project status documents for asynchronous consumption
  • Assist with fund onboarding/requirements gathering meetings with alternative investment asset managers and their third parties
  • Assist with documenting requirements
  • Collect and post offering kit materials
  • Track and document SFTPs and similar connections to ecosystem third parties (e.g., custodians, fund administrators/transfer agents, and portfolio performance reporting apps)
  • Support internal fund intake form(s) and processes in order to communicate fund setup requirements and instructions to Platform Implementation
  • Working with Platform Implementation, support pre-launch fund transaction testing
  • Track and monitor the follow-up of post fund launch issues through resolution
  • Prepare ad hoc post-implementation analysis

Requirements

  • Thorough knowledge of Operations (familiarity with Fund Operations a must)
  • Familiarity with the private investment fund space and the regulatory regime that governs it (SEC, FINRA, etc.)
  • Committed to delivering projects on time without sacrificing quality
  • Process-driven with strong follow-through and a get-it-done attitude
  • Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate complex and conceptual ideas, both in writing and verbally, to a range of audiences
  • Ability to flourish with minimal guidance, be proactive, and handle competing priorities
  • A strong desire to work in a start-up environment; flexible with change
  • Knowledgeable about Wealth and Asset Management ecosystem, including bank/broker-dealer/wirehouse alternative investment platforms
  • Passionate about technology and its ability to create efficiency through the reduction of frictional, non value-add processes

Experience

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 1-3 years of experience in process or analytical roles, such as sales operations at a bank, hedge fund, private equity fund, wealth manager, or similar
  • Experience working with Alternative Investment subscription documents and/or order processing
