Asset Management Analyst
Cadre is seeking an analyst to assist in all asset management functions across Cadre’s rapidly growing portfolio. The analyst will aid in the execution of the business plan, support the day-to-day responsibilities of the asset management team, and implement systems and tools designed to optimize the operational workflow of Cadre’s real estate portfolio. The ideal candidate for this role has a strong command of real estate fundamentals with exceptional financial modeling abilities.
The position will require close interaction and collaboration with company leadership, acquisitions team, accounting team, investor relations team, and external operating partners.The candidate will need the ability to work in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment where innovation and creativity are critical components to success.
What You’ll Do:
- Create templates designed to operationalize the gathering and movement of property level data
- Build new underwriting and asset management models across asset classes
- Research market statistics including leasing, sales, and demographic information in conjunction with Cadre’s data science program
- Engage in monthly calls and meetings with operating partners to review asset performance and adherence to business plan
- Assist in generating quarterly reports and investor updates
- Create and update financial models and analyses including: Argus, valuation, and re-underwriting models
- Collaborate with the engineering team to further develop data efficiency tools directed at streamlining data gathering and curation methods
- Assist in the design of investor and operating partner user interfaces on the firm's platform
What You Have:
- 2-3 years of experience in real estate acquisitions, asset management, or similar roles
- Exceptional Microsoft Excel modeling skills
- Command of real estate specific financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, rent roll, etc.)
- Comprehension of real estate fundamentals and terminology
- Understanding of relational databases is a plus
- Superior attention to detail
- Ability to effectively identify issues and formulate solutions, often in an unconventional manner
