The Role

You will be responsible for budgeting, forecasting and cost analysis, as well as reviewing financial performance and KPIs. Reporting to the CFO for Vice Digital, this role will require excellent leadership skills to partner with senior managers to provide analytical insight, drive financial discipline and deliver business results. The position will require significant cross-functional work and relationship building across the company.

Responsibilities

• Manage the preparation of budgets and forecasting and report to management on key variances
• Monitor P&L lines during monthly financial close; be able to discuss variances to forecast and plan
• Provide and interpret financial information and reports to management
• Meet with department’s senior manager heads monthly to understand Risks & Opportunities
• Track and analyze key business drivers, competitive environment, trends and operating metrics. Participate in cross-functional initiatives to understand and respond to emerging business conditions

Qualifications

• 7-10 years of experience, preferably recent experience in digital media
• Deep knowledge of VICE and the digital media landscape
• A strong proficiency in analytical problem solving, visual and verbal communication, and simplifying complex ideas into clear and actionable recommendations
• Ability to thrive in challenging and unstructured environments
