Intrinsic is a venture-backed company that buys, builds, and optimizes brands and products in the consumer healthcare space. We target companies founded by entrepreneurs that primarily focus as third-party sellers on Amazon. We have a team of digital health and e-commerce veterans that bring talent and capital to these companies and empower them to grow and reach a large group of consumers who need their products. We are born out of Redesign Health, a pioneering venture studio based in NYC focused on launching next-generation healthcare platforms.
As Associate, Mergers & Acquisitions you will have the unique opportunity to come in at the ground floor and play a lead role in leading multiple live deals and building a highly diversified health and wellness portfolio. This role requires someone who is highly motivated and can effectively combine exceptional strategic thinking, superior communication, project management and quantitative skills.This role is based at our headquarters in NYC.
What you'll do:
- First of Contact with Founders
- Screen and qualify leads to ensure scorecard fit with Intrinsic’s criteria
- Lead diligence calls with founders
- Lead Quantitative and Qualitative Analyses
- Analyze category trends, macro / consumer tailwind, and competitive landscape; leverage databases and tools to inform the above
- Identify key risks & opportunities (pre and post closing of the transaction)
- Model various growth and downside scenarios
- Quarterback Deal Process through Closing
- Draft a comprehensive and concise investment memo, coordinating input from key stakeholders including Brand Management and Supply Chain
- Engage third party diligence partners, including Accounting, Legal, and Regulatory
- Present key findings and acquisition recommendation to Investment Committee
- Manage process through closing and acquisition hand-off to Brand Management
What you'll need:
- Background
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 2+ Years of Experience in Investment Banking or PE, Must Have Completed Analyst program.
