SeedInvest is seeking an Audit Associate to join our Operations team in New York City. We run extremely flat and are looking for someone that can not only execute, but become a core member of our team and contribute to the mission, vision, and culture here in a very positive way. This is a salaried full-time position ($70k - $80k) with equity compensation (0.03% - 0.05%).

You'll be expected to be very, very good at:

• Preparing company financials for audits and/or reviews by independent accounting firms
• Drafting financial disclosures and risks for use in company offering materials and SEC filings
• Managing complex projects under tight timelines while communicating and working actively with the company's founders and people across the entire SeedInvest team

The minimum requirements are: 

• BA/BS degree in Accounting and/or Finance
• CPA License
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience conducting financial audits and/or reviews for early stage private companies at a reputable accounting firm
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Some extra credit that we'd love to see:

• Experience working at a securities regulator (i.e. SEC/FINRA), or in-house at a startup or tech company
• Experience working on private placements, public offerings, or with investment companies
• Experience drafting financial disclosures and/or risks for PPM’s, offering documents, or SEC filings (i.e. S-1, S-3, 10-K, 10-Q)
• Fintech startup experience
• Technology background and/or interest
