Is This Role Right for Me?

Our Account Manager will be the key player managing small business owner relationships and helping prepare their loan applications for Fundera’s bank partners. If you’re interested in the position, here are a few things you’ll get to do and the qualifications we think will make someone most successful in this role.

As an Account Manager, You'll Get to...

  • Be a coach for small business owners seeking bank loans, while guiding them through the SBA (Small Business Administration) funding process.
  • Liaise with bank lender partners and internal stakeholders, including Sales, Operations and Product, to provide strategic insights and improve the bank lending operation and optimize across Product & Process for frictionless bank fundings.
  • Manage & maintain Fundera’s SBA pipeline to ensure high velocity and an efficient funding process for customers.
  • Audit borrower applications and documents to ensure completeness and compliance with bank requirements

We're Looking for People Who...

  • Accelerating the growth of the Bank Team through selling Fundera’s SBA products
  • Are master communicators and can build rapport with customers, bank partners, and their peers early and often
  • Have a Bachelor's degree in any field of study.
  • Ability to manage a pipeline and thrive in a medium-term, consultative sales cycle that requires detail orientation, consistently educating customers
  • Have a high level of attention to detail, and understand that the little things matter
  • Are organized and can effectively prioritize multiple customers’ requests at once
  • Excellent discovery skills with an ability to quickly identify challenges in order to propose creative solutions
  • Have the ability to utilize resources, such as existing bank lenders, lending guides, and team members to get answers to tough questions
  • Are intellectually curious, and show interest in understanding the “why” behind bank requirements and business processes, in order to make suggestions for continuous improvement
  • Are able to work quickly and understand the intricacies of lender processes, moving with urgency to get customers through the packing/funding process quickly and at a high success rate
  • Are willing to step out of their comfort zone and take on new and challenging tasks and projects
  • Are proficient with Microsoft Office and Google Apps
  • Not Required, but a plus : You have 1+ years of client-facing experience through sales, account management, or lending/credit roles

What Will I Get Out of the Role?

You’ll grow to become a trusted relationship manager for small business owners throughout the United States, while learning the intricacies of bank lending, and requirements of our lender partners. You’ll also find opportunities to provide strategic insights to the Fundera Product, Operations, and Sales organizations to increase process efficiencies and improve our bank platform.
