We’re looking for a smart, driven individual to join our Capital Markets team and focus on growing, cultivating, and diversifying Affirm’s network of capital partners with a focus on depository institutions, pension funds, insurance companies, and asset managers. This person will partner closely with the broader capital markets team focused on deal structuring and execution in scoping, evaluating, and rationalizing potential transactions and capital partners for Affirm’s growing array of funding strategies. The ideal candidate will have experience working in investor relations, sales or strategy in fixed-income, with a previous focus on structured credit, ABS, or other securitized products. Additionally, the ideal candidate will have strong technical and interpersonal skills and the desire to work closely with both internal and external stakeholders.

What You'll Do

  • Own the day-to-day communication with many of Affirm’s existing and prospective capital partners. This includes top asset managers, hedge funds, insurance companies, and pension funds.
  • Help drive economic value by translating market color and feedback into a holistic capital partner engagement and growth strategy to support a rapidly growing origination business
  • Serve as principal point of contact to the deal structuring and execution-focused members of the capital markets team to relay transaction, marketplace, and investor color to the group
  • Own all investor-facing marketing materials that the capital markets team deploys to articulate the platform’s asset-class value proposition to institutional capital partners

What We Look For

  • 5-8 years of experience in buy or sell-side sales or strategy, or fixed-income product marketing at an asset manager, PE fund, or hedge fund
  • Fixed-income technical knowledge as well as a solid grasp of US market conditions in Consumer ABS, Specialty Finance, ABS Origination & Distribution, High Yield and Leveraged Loan credit
  • Strong sales and presentation skills
  • Highly resourceful, action-oriented with strong organization skills and attention to detail
  • Technical knowledge of structured products and portfolio management techniques across different total return investor types
  • Ability to think creatively and critically and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and often ambiguous work environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to read a situation, listen, frame a conversation and pitch when necessary
  • Experience managing multiple concurrent projects from start to finish
