We are hiring a Chief Accounting Officer to join our Finance department. This role reports into the Chief Financial Officer and will manage a group of 4 individuals ranging from Associate to Vice President. This is a highly visible and challenging role that will offer broad-based exposure to senior management across all business and functional areas.

Corporate Title: Senior Vice President (similar to Director level)

Responsibilities

Corporate Controller for the Firm:

  • Responsible for the Firm Audit and Broker Dealer Audit
  • Provide the accounting and financial reporting support for the Broker-Dealer
  • Ensure accuracy of legal entity consolidations
  • Responsible for the month end close process working closely with Fund Controllers for both Private Capital and Hedge Funds

Fund Controller for Private Capital Funds:

  • Responsible for capturing and reporting on the financial performance of the fund over its lifecycle
  • Ensure accuracy of revenue and related expenses in the firm’s general ledger
  • Provide analytics and trend analysis of financial results and key performance indicators
  • Partner closely with Fund Finance for understanding new deal activity, changes in existing portfolio, and run-offs
  • Subject matter expert in defining finance related functionality requirements into the firm’s strategic platform

Candidate Profile

  • 15+ years of Corporate Accounting experience. Prior experience with Alternative Investments is preferred but not required.
  • Degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA is required.
  • Team player attitude that is willing to contribute to the Finance function in any way needed
  • Strong analytical abilities and significant financial modeling experience
  • Takes initiative and acts as a self-learner with strong problem-solving skills
  • Detailed oriented with big picture capability
  • Able to work effectively under pressure and in a rapidly changing environment in order to meet deadlines
  • Strong communication skills: ability to clearly articulate and present ideas both in written presentations and orally; to senior management as well as outside audiences
