What You'll Do:

Team Building and Leadership

  • Build cross-departmental partnerships / work with department leaders as both a challenger and a facilitator.
  • Design the finance organization and manage all finance functions including strategy, FP&A, accounting, and compliance. 
  • Recruit, hire and retain a world class finance team with the capabilities to deliver on the LeagueApps growth strategy. Provide coaching, mentoring and development opportunities. 
  • Cultivate a strong, high-performance, values-aligned culture that is data-driven.

Strategy

  • Oversee the development of a financial strategy and roadmap that realizes our business goals. Influence by providing  a strong financial perspective on the business strategy.
  • Lead strategic Board discussions and decisions (fundraise, budget planning etc.).
  • Work with leaders to develop long-range strategic plans which then should align with annual financial objectives.  
  • Define and oversee key strategic projects that provide the organization the foundation for scale.

Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)

  • Set and achieve objectives and key performance indicators to execute with excellence.
  • Forecast financial statements and headcount.
    • Cash forecasting as a priority.
    • Communicate risks, opportunities, and drivers of forecast variances in an insightful way to facilitate timely and proactive decision-making.
  • Lead annual budgeting process.
  • Conduct  monthly financial performance analysis.
    • Actual to budget/forecast variance reporting and analysis.
    • Assorted reports including churn, retention, bookings, key SaaS metrics.
  • Lead Board reporting- prepare monthly, quarterly and ad hoc Board decks.

Compliance and Accounting 

  • Ensure that their company is legally compliant when doing business. 
    • Taxes - Entity tax, Sales tax, and state payroll tax.
    • Company registrations in each state.
  • Maintain timely and accurate accounting including:
  • Creation of financial statements (IFRS and/or GAAP).
  • Financial reporting.
  • Payroll processing.
  • Partner Invoicing (accounts receivable).
  • Vendor/employee payments (accounts payable).

Who You Are:

  • More than 10 years experience as the senior  financial leader in a venture backed B2B SaaS organization ideally with a focus on the SMB market. 
  • Demonstrated ability to rapidly scale and achieve aggressive growth targets has grown revenue from $10 to $100M+ ARR.  
  • Demonstrated experience scaling and leading finance teams to achieve high-performance.
  • Demonstrated experience partnering with peers to develop and to execute innovative strategies.

Compensation & Benefits: 

  • Base Salary: $255,000-$360,000

Our salary ranges are based on paying competitively for our size and industry, and are one part of the total compensation package that also includes benefits, and other opportunities at LeagueApps. Individual pay decisions are based on a number of factors, including qualifications for the role, experience level, skillset, and balancing internal pay parity relative to other LeagueApps employees. We expect the majority of the candidates who are offered roles at LeagueApps to fall healthily throughout the range based on these factors.

We are located right off of Union Square across from the famous Irving Plaza. Currently, we are working fully remotely.
