Position Summary:
The Compensation Specialist will support Prove by conducting salary analyses, complete assessments, drafting proposals and recommendations.
What You Are Accountable For:
- Reviewing current job and compensation structure framework
- Gathering and preparing data to support participation in recommended compensation surveys; Monitoring salary survey data to ensure corporate compensation objectives are achieved
- Completing analysis and identify any program and compliance risks
- Partnering with our vendors as needed
- Monitoring the effectiveness of existing compensation practices and recommends changes that are cost-effective and consistent with compensation trends and corporate objectives
- Providing advice to People staff on pay decisions, policy interpretations, and job evaluations
- Gathering data from market-based compensation surveys; uses spreadsheet and data analysis techniques to assess results and market trends
- Evaluating and implementing job analysis instruments and materials
- Researching employee benefits in similar industries; based on findings, recommends changes or updates to the company’s existing benefits or policies
- Designing creative solutions to specific compensation-related programs and incentive plans
- Developing techniques for compiling, preparing and presenting data
- Ensuring compliance with federal, state and local compensation laws and regulations
- Promoting, maintaining and enhancing our cultural values of humility, passion, inclusion, and leadership
- Demonstrating strong passion for learning about our products and markets through in-house and external training
What We Require:
- Experience and comfortable with flexibility and dealing with ambiguity
- Experience in a high-growth tech startup preferred
- Knowledge of all federal, state and local regulations and compliance requirements related to employee compensation
- Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret and communicate data
- Excellent time management skills and ability to plan and set priorities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills in dealing with senior management
