Compliance is looking for a Financial Crimes Audit & Regulatory Manager to join our rapidly growing team. You will be responsible for managing and executing BSA/AML and sanctions audits and regulatory exams for the Paxos Compliance program. This includes interfacing with auditors and regulators throughout the exam engagements, tracking audit and regulatory requirements, requests, conducting quality assurance on deliverables for multiple auditors and regulators. This also includes identifying, tracking, and driving any financial crimes related remediations for any audit, regulatory, or self-identified issues to ensure alignment with applicable regulatory requirements. 

You will also be responsible for planning and managing audit and regulatory tasks across various functions, and communicating any risks to leadership. This role works closely with a variety of stakeholders across the company, including Internal Audit, Legal, Research and Analytics, and Product. 

This is a new position that will help build out the regulatory engagement strategy within Financial Crimes and continue to drive the Compliance Program forward while supporting ongoing growth within Paxos. 

As an Audit & Regulatory Manager, you’ll get to: 

• Manage and conduct the audit and regulatory exam preparations, including interfacing with regulators, managing deliverables, tracking towards completion, and conducting quality assurance of all materials before submission for the full suite of BSA/AML and sanctions processes
• Coordinate and partner with a variety of stakeholders, including Audit, Legal, Product, Operations, and Research & Analytics to ensure timely and accurate delivery of all audit and exam materials.
• Develop remediation plans, and collaborate with functions to assist with remediating all audit, regulatory, or self-identified issues. 
• Maintain a thorough understanding of AML and sanctions regulatory risks, including tracking regulatory developments that may affect annual reviews in different jurisdictions (U.S., Canada, Singapore).
• Immerse yourself in blockchain technology, cryptocurrency for enterprises and investors, our regulation-first approach, and more!

Your experience should include:

• 5+ years of prior experience in Audit, regulatory, issue management or project management roles
• Subject matter expertise in BSA / AML and Sanctions risks, principles, and operations, ideally with experience in Quality Assurance, Monitoring & Testing, audit or regulatory roles
• Familiarity with state and federal banking regulators, AML and sanctions regulations, and corresponding audit and examination processes for regulated financial institutions
• Proven track record of driving initiatives in a cross-functional setting
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and passion for solving problems

You might also have: 

• Experience working in the crypto industry from a Compliance, Regulatory, and / or Risk Management perspective
• A clear understanding of the trends within the crypto / blockchain industry and regulatory landscape
• Management experience, and experience building teams and sub-functions
