About the Role:
Cityblock's Controller will lead our corporate accounting and financial planning functions across our headquarters and multi-state entities. This role will partner closely with leaders across the organization and provide insight to our executives, board, and investors on the financial state of Cityblock Health and its affiliated corporate entities.
You will be responsible for all aspects of Accounting, FP&A, AR / AP, Treasury, Payroll and Tax. A strong leader in this role will quickly and efficiently assess current controls, processes and systems, and implement improved workflows to streamline operations and enhance controls. You will build and manage a high-performing, service-oriented Accounting and Corporate Finance team, and build deep working relationships both internally and externally. The Controller will report to Cityblock's CFO.

Requirements for the Role:
  • You are an experienced executive and manager with 10+ years of relevant work experience in progressive Accounting and Finance roles. CPA and Big 4 audit experience preferred. • You have experience managing the financial reporting and payroll for multi-state organizations with numerous subsidiaries, JVs and partnerships.
  • You are a fantastic people manager, with a proven track record of hiring well and maintaining and developing talent.
  • You are methodical, thorough and meticulous.
  • You bring a "systems" mindset to your job. You enjoy building scalable processes from scratch and implementing new tools that are designed for growth and robust at scale.
  • You have excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills, and can build deep relationships with diverse functional leadership.
  • You have a strong executive presence and can serve as a credible and thoughtful representative of Cityblock to the Board of Directors, customers, and capital partners.
  • You are hands-on and not afraid to dive into the details.
  • Preferably, you have Healthcare experience, ideally at a Payer or value-based Provider.
  • You are deeply passionate about our mission and excited by how this role will drive the Company's success
