Position Summary:
The Controller is a hands-on position and will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, technology, analytical and management skills. Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), knowledge of SEC regulations and Sarbanes Oxley required. The Controller will own the accounting close process and will assist with development and documentation of the Company’s accounting processes. Experience working in a public company with tight deadlines is a plus.

What You Are Accountable For:
- Facilitating annual audit and other periodic internal and external audits as needed
- Own the accounting close process by ensuring the accuracy of the numbers under tight deadlines
- Managing the accumulation and consolidation of all financial data necessary for an accurate accounting of consolidated business results
- Hiring, training and retaining skilled accounting staff
- The Controller must maintain a strong working knowledge of GAAP including FASB Pronouncements, SEC requirements, federal state and local tax regulations, and employment and payroll issues
- Development and enforcement of accounting policies and procedures including overseeing Sarbanes Oxley 404 documentation and internal control testing as deemed necessary by management
- Actively monitor compliance with revenue recognition policies to ensure compliance with GAAP and proper reporting of revenues and related expenses. Integral in accounting for new acquisitions properly, and integrating systems and procedures into existing ones to ensure timely and accurate reporting and daily operations related to accounting
- Works closely with the Manager of Financial Systems to evaluate the effectiveness of our accounting system Intacct and automation of processes. Will also work closely with the Director of FP&A to ensure accuracy of the numbers by department and business unit
What We Require:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with 8 to 10 years of experience
- CPA, CMA or MBA a plus as well as experience working in an international company
- Strong initiative and ability to work collaboratively (in a team environment) as well as independently
- Experience working with Intacct a plus
- Experience with driving down the numbers of days to close the books while maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the numbers
- Experience managing and developing a staff of accounting professionals
