About the Role
This role of Corporate Accounting – Associate will involve Financial Accounting responsibilities, monthly and quarterly reporting duties (including financial close), preparing and assisting with invoices and external client communications, and financial reporting consolidation.
Responsibilities
- Overseeing A/R functions relating to various platform solutions activity:
- Ensure accuracy of platform solution fees and receivables
- Assisting with the month-end and quarter end close processes related to platform solutions. The day-to-day responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Preparing consolidated revenue calculations and KPIs for multiple platform solution sources
- Assisting with the maintenance of all invoices and accounting files
- Communicating with internal Relationship Managers and External Key Contacts
- Identifying and remediating process gaps and implementing effective internal controls
- Develop analyses to support strategic initiatives and decision-making by management
- Provide insight into variances between budget vs. actuals, as well as real-time forecasting and trend analysis
Qualifications
- 3-6 years of Corporate / Public Accounting experience within the Financial Services industry. Familiarity with Alternative Investments would be preferred
- Familiarity with Oracle NetSuite and/or General Ledger systems (i.e. SAP, PeopleSoft, Axiom) preferred
- Treasury management, accounts receivable, cash reporting and cash reconciliation experience
- Knowledge of booking revenue journal entries and the resulting impact to the financial statements
- Degree in Accounting and/or Finance required
- CPA license preferred
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Ability to manage large sets of data and be able to implement checks and balances
- Ability to interpret legal/fund documents
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Detailed oriented with big picture capability
