Reporting to the CFO, the Corporate Controller will play a crucial role in shaping the accounting organization and our processes as we scale!
What you'll be doing:
Accounting & Financial Reporting:
Lead all aspects of financial reporting and the monthly close and consolidation processes to ensure integrity of underlying financial transaction data
Oversees all accounting functions, including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Payroll, Financial Reporting, Revenue Accounting, Cost Accounting
Interpret the results of business trends and advise the business unit leaders on the effect of the Company’s financial condition
Coordinate with external audit teams and tax specialists for year-end audit and tax filings
Ensure reporting systems and processes meet compliance regulations
Process Improvements:
Acts as primary financial executive responsible for oversight and implementation of all financial control policies and published rules, regulations, and guidelines
Draft pre-audit memos and policies that provide clear controls around our finance operations
Directs all financial systems and general ledger activities and the development of financial analysis
Establish the accounting department as a service-oriented function that supports team members across the organization in any of their budgeting, invoicing, reimbursement needs
Treasury & Cash Management:
Provide weekly cash flow reports and forecasts to ensure responsible cash management strategies
Maintain relationships with Bank partners to ensure best use of available products, efficient operations, and returns on cash
General:
Provide ad-hoc analyses as needed to support new business growth opportunities, and cost improvement strategiesPartner with the FP&A function with financial budgeting and forecasting processes as necessary
Support the finance and accounting department as necessary
What we expect from you:
- You hold a Bachelor’s degree and 10-15 years of work experience, CPA required
- Public accounting and experience a must
- Public company experience preferred
- Robust experience with consolidations
- B2B Saas or Healthcare experience preferred
- Experience with Netsuite, and system implementations
- A “start-up” mentality; you are comfortable building processes from scratch, building the plane while flying it
- You are highly analytical and solve problems with spreadsheets
- You have fanatical attention to detail and enjoy staying organized
- You are highly proactive and always follow up. You’re solving today’s problem with tomorrow’s problem in mind.
- You are highly adaptable and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. You self-direct and learn.
- You’re generally calm and good humored, and you use solid judgement at all times.
