About the Role

Common is looking for a hard-working, motivated individual to join our growing Finance Team!  As a FP&A Analyst - Corporate, you will play a key role in setting Common’s financial and operational targets, as well as continuously monitoring performance and adjusting forecasts, as necessary.  This position will report to our Corporate FP&A Manager and will work closely with all teams at Common to develop projections and communicate results to the appropriate parties.  This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of a fast-paced, high energy growth company.

Responsibilities 

  • Support annual budget and monthly forecast processes including Revenue and OpEx projections, KPI development, headcount and SG&A planning and cash flow forecasting.
  • Perform analysis to identify and manage key risks and opportunities within our growing business, summarize/report findings and suggestions and adjust forecasts as needed
  • Maintain ownership of monthly reporting packages and analysis commentary for senior executive reviews
  • Partner with operational stakeholders to generate budgets as well as detailed reporting and analysis of actuals, budgets, and forecasts to improve future projections
  • Identify any key areas for process improvement, develop and implement associates plans
  • Assist Property FP&A team, as necessary - provide guidance on Corporate allocations and chargebacks at the property level
  • Ad hoc projects, including, but not limited to, board presentations, investor reporting, scenario analysis and supporting our VP of Finance and CFO in various initiatives

Qualifications

  • BA/BS Degree
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience in FP&A or accounting related role (real estate development or portfolio management, preferred)
  • Self-sufficient, highly analytical, and comfortable taking charge in a start-up environment
  • Ability to deep dive into details, while at the same time summarize findings for executives
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and financial modeling skills, experience with Oracle Planning Software a plus
  • Emotional Intelligence
  • Scrappy and resourceful problem solver
  • A team player with a “can-do” attitude
  • BA/BS Degree
