About the Role
The Director, Finance Systems, Planning, is responsible for partnering with Finance leadership to understand the organizational strategy and initiatives and develop a technology roadmap to support financial planning. This hands-on technical role demands excellent knowledge of Finance and FP&A related business processes and methodologies along with a strong analytical and reporting background.The candidate will have direct hands on experience in Workday Financials process design, configuration and implementation, as well as a host of other tools.
They partner with diverse business stakeholders globally to lead numerous projects to increase business efficiency and automate business processes. They will also provide strong leadership to a team focused on the core initiatives under the Planning pillar of the Finance Organization. They have excellent collaboration, problem solving and advanced technical skills. They provide technical guidance, are hands on, and respond to end user requests for new features, problem investigation, security configuration and complex reports.
Responsibilities
Build and lead a high performing team to support the technology roadmap
Manage the end-to-end functional support for Planning tool (Anaplan)
Work closely with the business teams to understand functional requirements and execute them through successful implementation, testing and deployment with required documentation
Partner cross-functionally with all stakeholders in the Finance organization to overhaul the current financial planning systems
Leverage business knowledge and expertise to identify opportunities for process improvements.
Assist in resolving User “How To” questions and create relevant job aids/training/communications aids/learning/communications
Troubleshoot problems, test, and work with business to resolve issues.
Configure and maintain data security and comply with the policies and procedures
Provide guidance and training to business teams on the future capabilities of the Workday and adoption blueprint.
Coordinate feature/function cases with Planning Tool and perform Release tasks (2x per year)
Act with speed, while balancing quality and compliance
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in MIS/CIS, Finance, Business Administration or related field preferred
3+ years of Anaplan Implementation experience required, FP&A use case a plus
8+ years of Financial ERP systems experience required, Workday a strong plus
End to end implementation experience including project management, issue management, communication and change management. Experience with JIRA a plus.
Excellent knowledge of FP&A, Accounting, & similar processes, procedures and best practices
Excellent interpersonal, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
Must be a skilled communicator, with well-developed verbal, written and presentation ability.
