Fit Small Business (FSB) seeks a Director of Finance & Accounting to join our fast-growing company. This role offers you the chance to lead in a dynamic, professional, startup environment, and to build our finance and accounting department while working with our outsourced team. It is based in NYC and reports directly to our Chief Executive Officer. Your work will likely evolve quickly to match the pace of our scaling, and that’s part of what would attract you to Fit Small Business.

This position includes:

• Advancing and documenting business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
• Managing our external bookkeeper and accountants.
• Developing a robust financial forecasting model to direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts.

Your Responsibilities:

• Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
• Prepare and present monthly financial documents and company financial overview to the Senior Management team.
• Build and own expense management policies and accounts payable.

Your Background:

• You have both a breadth and depth of accounting and finance experience.
• You have thorough knowledge of financial forecasting, budgeting, and accounting principles and processes.
• You have crafted and analyzed financial documents, and understand startup companies.
• You are a Quickbooks authority and know how to lead a team that is using this software.

*Quickbooks fluency is necessary. For our other tools, it's okay if you have not used these, just be excited to learn them.
