The Role


The Director of Finance & ES IT Systems will be accountable for delivering IT projects and production support to our Finance, Employee Success (HR), and Legal teams. This role reports to the CIO and is a core member of the IT leadership team.

What You'll Do

  • Serve as the platform owner for all IT financial applications (ERP, Revenue, Purchasing, Closing & Reporting, etc) and HR applications (HRIS, Benefits, ATS, etc)
  • Own the IT Roadmap and systems strategy for those areas, partnering directly with the CFO, CAO, CPO, and their teams
  • Work with the CIO on IT strategic planning, budgeting, and communication, including prioritizing the IT Enterprise Roadmap and building out core IT processes in a fast-growing company
  • Own the delivery of all major systems projects in the finance/HR areas
  • Partner with the Finance and Employee Success executive team in understanding their business priorities and objectives and serve as a guide in how technology should be leveraged to meet their requirements
  • Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture and the other 2 application leaders on large projects to ensure configuration, development, integrations, and reporting are being built optimally with scalability and usability in mind
  • Develop and manage business relationships with software partners, vendors, and service providers. Ensure we are getting the best value out of our investments
  • Work with the security and compliance teams to make sure the systems that are being implemented are compliant and secure, adhering to processes/procedures in place
  • Build a team culture in alignment with our IT Philosophy: put the customer first, build for the long term, collaborate effectively, and focus on speed
  • Hire, develop, and lead an inclusive, empowered, engaged, and high-performing team of business systems analysts, project managers, and solution engineers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, IT, Computer Science or other similar degrees, or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years of direct people management experience
  • 10+ years of experience contributing to and leading transformational IT initiatives at scale
  • Direct experience in setting IT strategy for Finance and HR systems
  • Required: Experience leading at least one full ERP and/or HRIS implementation at scale throughout an enterprise
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels of the organization
  • Thorough understanding of Finance and HR business processes and IT solution design and ability to lead this strategy with the business stakeholders
  • Experience with SOX and the controls of a public company
  • Proven experience leading consolidation and rationalization of business systems and streamlining IT processes
  • High degree of integrity and transparency
  • A genuine passion for people development and coaching

Nice to Have

  • MBA
  • Experience implementing ERP and HRIS systems at scale in multiple organizations
  • Previous direct experience with Netsuite, Boomi, or Salesforce integrations for Financials
