Spring Health is looking for a Director of Finance Operations to join our accounting team and help with the development of our systems and accounting processes. Reporting to our Controller, this role will oversee the day to day accounting operations and help direct accounting policy and system improvements.
What you’ll be doing:
- Manage our month end close process, developing and implementing best practices
- Manage the day to day of our annual audit process
- Maintain our internal systems and provide recommendations on efficiencies
- Review the internally developed software processes to ensure accurate project tracking.
- Directing key aspects of accounting operations relating to payables, payroll, fixed assets and accruals while also overseeing the development of currently one staff accountant
- Partner cross-functionally throughout the organization to create, evolve, and enforce policies and procedures that support business growth and new product launches domestically and internationally
- Partner with Operations teams to streamline payments for our contracted Provider Network
- Work with the controller for adoption of new accounting standards
What we expect from you:
- Backed by 8+ years of professional experience in accounting, including experience in a management role
- Experience in implementation of new accounting systems and processes
- CPA license
- Strong, comprehensive understanding of US GAAP
- A strong leader able to develop reports, motivate teams, collaborate across departments, work closely with management, and take initiative
- An excellent communicator, both in writing and verbally, when working with internal and external teams
- An expert in multi-tasking when it comes to managing several high-priority projects simultaneously
- Detail-oriented and analytical—you produce high-quality work while meeting tight deadlines
