As Director, Financial Planning & Analysis, reporting directly to the CFO, you’ll work closely with the executive team and departmental stakeholders to ensure we’re best managing the financials of the business and making the best business decisions possible - which means opportunity for impact and exposure across the board. We’ll look to your expertise leveraging financial planning, modeling & analysis to provide key insights that drive the company’s strategic decisions, financial forecasts, and operating plans.

What you'll do day-to-day:

  • Support the CFO in the development of the FP&A function
  • Lead the annual budgeting and monthly forecasting process
  • Create clear strategic presentations via Powerpoint or Google Slides including analysis for investors, the board, and senior management
  • Drive consistency and improvement in business analysis and reporting, including analysis of consolidated subscriber growth and revenue projections
  • Analyze data and facilitate sound management decisions through financial reporting while highlighting material variances, trends, & risks/opportunities, and providing insightful commentary to the business and partners
  • Own Skillshare’s financial model and rebuild it from scratch
  • Perform strategic financial analysis and planning for key business opportunities, including international growth projections and modeling new revenue streams
  • Work cross-functionally with various business and operational teams to analyze and incorporate go-forward business decisions into the financial rolling forecast model
  • Manage departmental cost center budgets and serve as a finance business partner to the respective budget owners

What you’ll need to be successful:

  • Excel wizardry – advanced formulas; pivot tables; modeling, etc.; attention to detail is critical
  • Demonstrated ability to manipulate and model large volumes of data, interpret and identify pertinent issues
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to distill key issues and insights and deliver them in a meaningful and concise manner
  • Experience creating clear and strategic PowerPoint presentations for senior level audiences. 
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and guide non-finance teams with robust data and analysis
  • Experience with performance marketing in customer acquisition, including understanding of key digital marketing performance metrics such as CAC and LTV 

Nice to have:

  • FP&A experience at a consumer facing tech or SaaS company
  • Investment banking or management consulting experience
