About the Role 

This full-time contractor role will partner closely with business leaders and the CFO to support company budgeting, forecasting, and planning efforts. Responsibilities include FP&A, monthly and quarterly financial reviews, board updates, and general CFO support. Successful candidates will be collaborative, results oriented, and be able to formulate complex analyses into simple and succinct communications. This individual will have acute attention to detail and thrive in a fast-paced environment while providing thorough, actionable, and accurate information. Previous experience in software and familiarity with SaaS KPIs and metrics required. 

What you’ll do: 

  • Be a strategic partner and become a key advisor to the CFO and the broader executive leadership team. 
  • Lead total company bookings, revenue and operating expense planning and forecasting. You will assist executive leadership in executing against the operating plan and performing quarterly and monthly financial forecasts, and ongoing analysis of actuals versus prior periods, plan and/or forecasts. 
  • You will maintain and monitor performance indicators, highlighting trends and analyzing causes of unexpected variances and will support executive leadership in presenting key financial and operational performance trends (historical and forecasted) using appropriate metrics to support business reviews and key strategic decisions 
  • You will provide counsel on strategic financial matters that focus on growth opportunities, expense control, and on profitability of the business. Identify trends and resulting implications, propose key actions and strategic implications 
  • You will prepare management reporting / dashboards for Executives - analyze results, distill/synthesize business performance indicators, assess business risk and operating performance, and timely communicate risks and opportunities to management 

Common candidate qualifications include: 

  • A commitment to teamwork and excellence 
  • 5+ years of related experience in a SaaS Finance organization Excellent communicator with the ability to articulate complex topics clearly and concisely. Possesses excellent verbal and written communication skills. Able to interact comfortably and drive alignment with the executive management team. 
  • Ability to work with employees at all levels of the organization and a highly collaborative environment with a high growth, can-get-done mentality. This role is for doers; be able to get into the details and get the job done while at the same time being able to see the forest for the trees. 
  • Experience with payments or transaction driven pricing models, a plus. 
  • Familiarity with FP&A software, integrations among data visualization software, enterprise financial software and SFDC a plus
