Director, Pricing Strategy
As the Director of Pricing Strategy on the Inventory Team, you'll be a trusted specialist - making an improvement by supporting us with sound operational and financial decision-making. Reporting directly to the VP of Inventory, you'll manage the short-term decision-making and long-term planning of the marketplace pricing implemented at SeatGeek.
You are an experienced pricing professional with marketplace experience that wants to merge your passion for live events and entertainment with your financial knowledge to make a big impact for SeatGeeks partners and clients. You have a love of sports and music and work well in a flowing team environment. In addition to possessing the financial mind needed to build on the day-to-day, you will need to demonstrate a creative approach in the development of proprietary tools.
What You'll Do
- Help Inventory team manage the short-term decision-making and long-term planning of the marketplace pricing implemented at company utilizing operational and financial decision-making experience.
- Build pricing strategies and explore market opportunities for growth across the business, utilizing pricing and marketplace experience and develop pricing tests across multiple genres and establish and understand industry trends with regards to marketplace pricing as well as seller related fees and incentive strategies which influence business profitability.
- Translate market data and insights into a digestible and actionable reporting analysis format, utilizing analysis skills in SQL, Tableau, Looker, Business Objects, Hadoop, Excel, Google Sheets and Teradata as well as abilities in synthesizing data into recommendations for business strategy and tactics.
- Collaborate with Data Scientists and other cross-functional colleagues on marketplace analysis of opportunities.
- Partner with company's Product, Engineering, and Marketing teams to develop pricing tools and promotions and seller strategies across segments and markets, as well as to perform pricing and revenue management functions on behalf of organization to achieve targeted results.
What You Have
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or International Management
- Two (2) years of experience in job offered or two (2) years of pricing management experience for an e-commerce platform
