The Role:

The Director of Revenue Operations is a key member of the Finance and Sales Leadership team who is responsible for leading the team charged with the documentation and implementation of key controls around critical deal terms and business processes.  You willThe role is also be responsible for the administration and calculation of sales commissions across a team of 120+ Sales Reps, SDRs, Solutions Engineers, and Customer Success Managers as this high-growth, mission-based SaaS company doubles in revenue and disrupts an industry.

As part of the Finance team, you get to partner with senior leadership across Finance, Customer, Product, Marketing and Data to support a sales team looking to achieve aggressive goals in a scalable way. You will also have the opportunity to influence critical business decisions and suggest ways to optimize how we capture data, price non-standard deals, define key deal terms, and structure internal controls.  You get to work with a group of people who are smart and passionate about building a business that is transforming a market segment K-12 education. Your work will enable Newsela to grow and scale efficiently, and will ultimately help increase our ability to get engaging, culturally responsive learning content into K-12 schools and districts nationwide.

Why We’ll Love You: 

You have 8+ years of experience in sales or revenue operations, ideally in a fast-paced, high-growth SaaS business. You are experienced with CRM systems (preferably Salesforce), as well as Excel (vLook-ups, pivot tables). Ideally, you also have experience using a Commission Processing Tool/Software (Xactly, Spiff, Performio, Concert, Commissionly, etc.). You have demonstrated success in implementing and managing new processes with clear guidelines and controls.  You have the ability to use data and technology to drive automation, have meticulous attention to detail, and the analytical ability to monitor and calculate moderately complex commission calculations.  You’re passionate about giving back and want to make a positive impact in the world, and you thrive in creating clarity out of ambiguity.
