We are building an Accounting dream, and on the hunt for a motivated, meticulous, and analytical Director of Tax to play a key role in the Finance dept.  We are experiencing rapid growth, and this senior position will be known as the Tax expert, leading all communications for tax inquiries, driving compliance, and solving complex tax problems. You will collaborate across functional teams such as Finance, Accounting, Operations and Leadership groups.  


What You’ll be doing 

  • Become the go-to tax leader, acting as the internal and external point of contact for all tax-related inquiries and analysis
  • Drive US  and international sales tax compliance, including managing existing and future sales and use tax registrations, overseeing sales and use tax filings, and performing regular review of use tax compliance
  • Manage, investigate and resolve any tax authority notifications, domestic and international
  • Manage income filings -- all federal and state income tax filings, including overseeing the calculation of the provision, developing processes to calculate and reconcile deferred tax assets and liabilities, and ensuring timely filing and payment of all extensions and returns.
  • Monitor future tax legislation, research the impact on the Company's financial position, and work with Corporate Controller and external partners to advise on the best position to optimize tax planning
  • Lead continuous process improvements and integration of various aspects of the tax function to achieve optimal efficiency, effective controls, and quality
  • Plan and execute global tax strategies in compliance with regulations
  • Oversee transfer pricing policies/compliance and monitor entities
  • Advise on tax impact of inter-company transactions
  • Assist with ad hoc projects, as needed

What We’re Looking For:


  • 10+ years of experience in Big 4 public accounting, private industry or both
  • CPA
  • Strong income tax background
  • Strong knowledge of OECD rules, DST, VAT, GST and other Indirect Taxes
  • Strong knowledge of State Sales and Use tax matters
  • Exposure to global transfer pricing rules and regulations
  • Experience with Quarterly & Annual Tax Provision Process
  • Experience with complex US Federal and State credits/incentives
  • Experience with Thomson Reuters OneSource (Determination, Compliance Reporting, and Use Tax Module), a plus
  • Experience working with NetSuite, a plus
