Engagement Manager, Revenue Cycle Management

What You'll Do
As an Engagement Manager at Flatiron you will be responsible for leading a team of Associates and Analysts across one of our largest clients in order to ensure success for the Practice Financial Health Team (inclusive of Revenue Cycle Management (RCM)). You will be responsible for managing client relationships and overseeing account operations. This position requires outstanding client management, problem-solving, and communication skills; experience leading complex operations and stakeholders; and managing client management relationships and communications. Experience managing cross-functional operational and strategic teams/projects end to end is strongly preferred.
This role will specifically involve management of a large book of business at one of Flatiron's most strategic accounts. You will be a key point of escalation for this client's operations. You will develop a deep understanding of our RCM service offering and oversee account operations while owning complex cross-functional initiatives engaging both client and internal teams. You will facilitate communication and problem-solving with our RCM team to ensure quality service delivery. You will recommend process improvements within Flatiron and within our strategic account, contributing to the development of the implementation and client success playbooks. In addition, you'll also:
- Facilitate frequent touchpoints with our services team to ensure quality service delivery and performance
- Lead day-to-day professional revenue cycle operations, overseeing areas such as authorization, eligibility & benefit verification, billing, A/R follow-up, denials management and payment posting; coordinate with client counterparts to quickly resolve escalations and drive improvement opportunities
- Manage and independently own regular revenue cycle metric reporting to customers, operational & strategic improvement initiatives, and payer escalations
- Develop and maintain strong customer relationships ranging from frontline staff to the C-suite level that provide leverage for decision making and effective change management
- Oversee Flatiron's RCM operational team members dedicated to your assigned customer base; delegating, empowering, and removing barriers to their success
- Work cross-functionally across Flatiron teams to contribute to the design, documentation, and execution of scalable customer account management strategies that deliver an industry leading client experience
- Act as the customers' thought partner by providing insights/recommendations through your data and analytics skills and advocate by troubleshooting their operations issues
- Recommend process improvements within Flatiron and within our customer base, contributing to the development of the implementation and customer success playbooks

Who You Are

- You have 4+ years experience within billing or revenue cycle management technology, process improvement, or workflow implementations
- You have at least 2+ years experience within the oncology billing or revenue cycle industry
- You're a problem solver with strong analytical and communication skills
- You have strong written and verbal communication skills
- You're able to work in a fast paced environment and can utilize prioritization and project management skills to appropriately manage a full workload
- You have experience leading complex operations spanning multiple teams and stakeholders as well as client-facing experience
- You're experienced in the healthcare space and have deep experience in or are comfortable quickly learning detailed revenue cycle operations, clinical workflows, and data manipulation/analysis
- You have a background in account management or operational teams at a high growth technology company, healthcare organization, or management consulting experience managing a client team responsible for operational effectiveness
- You are operationally minded and seek to create standardized processes with strong organization, time management, and project management skills
- You have a demonstrated ability to carry a collaborative culture and management style to interactions with other stakeholders, including those at Flatiron and the customer
- You have a proven ability to think outside the box, optimize processes, and lead change
- A self-starter who is able to take initiative and ownership of projects
- Willingness to travel up to 70% of the time to client site(s) - expectation is that Mon - Wed will be required weekly
- Ideally you live in Long Island or the New York City metro area or surrounding area (or willing to relocate to)
- You have a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

- You are well versed in Microsoft Access, Looker, and SQL to support independent analyses for key business and strategic decisions
- Flatiron OncoEMR proficiency desired but not required

Job Compensation Range
Salary Range: $120,000.00 - $180,000.00
Preferred Primary Location: NYC Headquarters
The annual pay range reflected above for this position is based on the preferred primary location of the role which is listed in the job description. Salary ranges for other locations vary from the range reflected above. Base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. An annual bonus and equity may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
