THE ROLE
Our operations team is at the core of everything we do at The Farmer's Dog. The Finance Associate role will support the finance department in executing day-to-day financial operations and systematically tracking weekly and monthly financial metrics for reporting purposes. Additionally, the Finance Associate will work cross-functionally to perform analyses to support strategic business decisions. You'll report to and work closely with the Finance Manager to ensure that financial operations run smoothly.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Working closely with third party finance function to process and pay invoices
- Reconciling POs and invoices
- Tracking operational costs and inventory
- Assisting in monthly closing of accounting books
- Reporting weekly/monthly operational and financial metrics
- Assisting in strategic financial and operational analytics projects
- Other administrative duties
Requirements
- B.A. in Accounting or Finance or 1-3 years experience in relevant industry
- Strong analytical/quantitative skill set
- Proficient in Excel and Google Sheets
- Process oriented with extreme attention to detail
- Must thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Bonus: working knowledge of SQL and Python for data analytics
