As our Finance Business Partner, you will be responsible for partnering, advising, and assisting the execution of optimal financial, growth, go to market, and business strategy. Reporting to the Finance & Analytics Director and partnering closely with the business leadership team to analyze the highest priority strategic and financial decisions to maximize business value and impact. 

They will handle everything from the framing up of strategic decisions and collaborate cross-functionally to analyze, test, and offer recommendations that determine the path of the business. They have to visualize what success looks like on all projects engaged, doing whatever it takes to ensure that end state becomes a reality. 

How you'll contribute to #OneTeam 

  • Work with business teams to design reports and dashboard that convey information simply and cleanly, with a focus on the key drivers
  • Diagnose complex problems, develop data driven recommendations and execute those initiatives and generate new ideas for growth
  • Present complex data in simplified ways; prepare materials for executive and external audiences that distill complex data analyses into clear messages 
  • Understand the data and analytics needs of business teams; define requirements and scope new reporting in conjunction with the data team
  • Identify key drivers; tie operational levers (actions) to outcomes (data impact)
  • Modeling business profitability, identifying key levers leadership can impact and performing variance analysis
  • Work collaboratively with our Field leadership to drive market profitability
  • Work closely with the Finance Team and members of the Field Team to understand metric instrumentation that influences the team’s delivery of results.
  • Set a high bar for yourself and the team

Who You are

  • 5+ years experience from a top-notch consulting firm, private equity firm, and/or business/strategic operations group
  • Strong project management and communication skills
  • Business-savvy with experience working with operations, sales and/ or marketing teams 
  • Experience in a role that requires financial or business analytics and/or strategic thought
  • Functional skills – general strategy/commercial experience and core competency in one/some of operations, product development, sales & marketing
  • Ability to grow and execute on both tactical details and the big picture

Location

Two blocks up from Battery Park, Alfred is no more than a ten-minute walk to water south, east, and west. Our office is easy to get to with many subway lines, ferries, and the PATH within a short walk.
