Job Overview:

Physique 57 is seeking a Finance Manager. This role is responsible for the management of daily accounting processes, financial reporting, and financial forecasting. The ideal candidate is well organized with a strong attention to detail and can thrive in a vibrant and dynamic environment. This individual will be a self-start who can excel in a fast-paced environment that emphasizes accountability and results.

The Finance Manager reports to the CEO. The position is based in Manhattan.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accounting
  • Direct and oversee all aspects of the accounting and reporting function for Physique 57’s U.S. fitness studios, international licensed studios, Video on Demand and DVD businesses
  • Manage monthly close processes for all entities including but not limited to general ledger review, journal preparations, and analysis and reconciliation of P&L and Balance Sheet accounts
  • Oversee A/P and A/R activity and manage cash flow report on a daily and monthly basis including future cash flow projections and manage all aspects of banking relationship
  • Liaise with external CPA firm to complete annual audit, financial statement and income tax return preparation and ensure proper accounting treatment across all business entities
  • Strategically recommend internal controls to maximize return and limit risk

• Finance
  • Manage, prepare and present monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements including KPI metrics to the Senior Management team
  • Oversee and manage the budgeting process and create variance reports
  • Participate in monthly management meetings

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting and a CPA strongly preferred
• At least 5 years of related experience
• Audit experience preferred
• Understanding of accounting principles and GAAP
• Solid foundation working with Excel with the ability to do vlookups and create pivot tables
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Driven and self-motivated
• Ability to work cross-functionally to achieve desired results
• Proficient in QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
