About the Role:

ClassPass is looking for an International Reporting Accountant to oversee the global reporting and operational requirements across a rapidly growing number of international locations. In this role, you’ll be a key addition to the Finance Team, as ClassPass continues to grow its footprint around the world. ClassPass is looking for a highly motivated accountant to ensure that all international entity financials and reporting processes are consistent with US GAAP for consolidation purposes, and with local GAAP for statutory filing requirements. As a member of the Finance Team you will communicate cross-functionally with all departments of the company and must possess the initiative to proactively interface with and learn the business. To succeed in this role, you’ll need a comprehensive understanding of GAAP accounting, sound business judgement, and the ability to always stay one step ahead, anticipating the risks and challenges we face during rapid growth and expansion.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage monthly intercompany reconciliations for all international entities and calculate foreign currency gains and losses monthly
  • Ensure statutory reporting requirements are met timely and accurately across all international locations and closely monitor the status of each filing
  • Support financial close processes by monitoring internal trial balances and preparing reporting deliverables for the Finance Team
  • Support external service providers in assisting with international payroll and T&E
  • Research and summarize reporting requirements for new international operating locations
  • Active participation cross-functionally in identifying process improvements in order to optimize efficiencies, improve analyses and provide department and management with effective reports
  • Research and provide guidance on accounting topics as needed
  • Collaborate and assist the finance team during monthly, quarterly and annual close
  • Prepare various schedules and supporting documentation during the annual audit
  • Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and generally accepted accounting practices
  • Assist the Finance team with other ad-hoc projects as needed

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 2+ years of International Accounting experience (public accounting or industry experience is a plus)
  • CPA preferred (or active CPA candidate either testing or planning to test)
  • Have the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced, highly adaptive environment
  • Detail oriented, well organized, and able to meet deadlines while managing multiple projects at once
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
