We redefined the e-commerce experience by pairing a monthly subscription of samples with a curated online shop featuring more than 800 best-in-class brands. Every month, subscribers receive five prestige samples tailored to their unique profile along with inspiring editorial content that creates a seamless path to purchase full-size versions of their favorites on Birchbox.com. The Position:

Birchbox is looking for a sharp mind to assist the growing Finance department on all matters of financial planning and analysis for our global business operations. You will have the opportunity to work in our innovative and fast-changing environment where your analyses and insights help our executive team make key decisions. We need someone with integrity, energy, passion and a strong financial background to aide in everything from day-to-day business operations to forecasting and planning to financing. We’re a lean team and this role offers a motivated and hardworking individual the opportunity to make a big impact, while learning about all aspects of our business.

Specific responsibilities include:

• Responsible for the preparation and maintenance of 36-month rolling forecast for all entities of the company
• Work closely with demand planning team on compiling key drivers for the financial model
• Manage global budget and forecasting process, including working across the organization to gather key inputs and assumptions, lead review sessions with senior management and prepare materials for our board of directors
• Establish and maintain strong business partnerships and cross-functional relationships to provide decision support
• Influence decisions before they are made by understanding business activities and laying out financial implications
• Provide recommendations and actionable insights based on past and expected future performance
• Support management in corporate development activities, including fundraising and M&A
• Perform ad-hoc reporting and analysis as needed

Key Qualifications:

• BA or BS degree; finance and accounting coursework preferred
• 5+ years of applicable experience, including investment banking or corporate finance
• Start up experience a plus
• Speaking proficiency in French and/or Spanish a plus
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Extremely proficient in Microsoft Excel with thorough accounting knowledge required to build comprehensive financial models
